Franco is a solicitor, accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator and Police Station Representative. His main areas of practice are Dispute Resolutions, Litigations (commercial and civil), Possession Claims (residential and commercial properties) and Landlords and Tenants’ disputes. As a dual-trained civil and criminal litigator, Franco has previously undertaken criminal defence, high value confiscation and cash seizure proceedings. Utilising his extensive knowledge of various areas of law, Franco has successfully argued family law in confiscation proceedings to ensure the pre-marital assets of the innocent spouse were excluded from the POCA proceedings. Michael is a Consultant Solicitor Advocate at Midtown Law and a key member of the criminal law department. Michael has extensive experience of all areas of criminal law covering murder, large scale drugs, serious fraud, firearm right down to motoring offences. He regularly appears in Magistrates and Crown Courts. He has expertise in representing young people and his unique approach helps achieve the best for the firms’ clients. In his supervisory role, Michael ensures that a high level of service is maintained across the whole firm. Outside of his legal work, he is a Former Mayor and Councillor for London Borough of Southwark and has helped drive changes to the use of stop and search powers locally. He enjoys adventurous activities and recently returned from climbing Machu Pichhu in Peru and previously Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa. Defendant acquitted half-way through trial. •R v H – Drink Drive – Defendant instructed Michael following an accident which caused significant damage. Michael secured an acquittal following a fully contested trial.
